Rick J. Eichor

Rick graduated from Kansas State University in 1965, and the University of Kansas School of Law in 1970.

Rick began his career in private practice where he did insurance defense work. He then joined the Department of the Attorney General where he established the State's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. As head of the unit, he was appointed as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney to prosecute Medicaid crimes in federal court. He also worked in the Commerce and Economic Development Division where he advised the Energy Division, the Foreign Trade Zone, and the Hawaii Strategic Development Corporation.

Rick is a seasoned litigator who concentrates in personal injury and commercial litigation. He also advises businesses on regulatory matters. Rick has tried a number of cases in Hawaii that received national coverage, including Baehr v. Miike, the Hawaii same-sex marriage case.

Rick is active in the Hawaii State Bar Association and serves on the Board of Bar Examiners.
